Expressions of Interest: Fugitive Emission Monitoring
The Government of Canada requests the development and demonstration of technologies for the detection, quantification, specific source location and monitoring of fugitive methane and non-methane VOCs in the Upstream Oil & Gas Sector. The proposals will integrate instrumentation with models that will use trajectory tracking algorithms, complex terrain air flow measurement and calculation, data analysis and reporting algorithms and web-based interfaces to enable real-time detection, quantification and ongoing monitoring of fugitive emissions of methane and non-methane VOCs from upstream oil and gas facilities including oil sands facilities. Expressions of Interest: VOC Mitigation
The Government of Canada requests the demonstration of a VOC mitigation technology for froth treatment tailings from the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry. Current regulations allow for 4 volumes of solvent to be lost to tailings for every 1000 volumes of bitumen production. Future regulations will likely reduce this target considerably. The demonstration technologies must be capable of reducing solvent diluent losses to 50% or less of current regulations. The demonstration should show that these losses are achievable over the range of fluctuating tailings properties encountered in typical operations. Deadline: N/A
Expression of Interest: Tailings Management System
Expressions of Interest are requested by the Government of Canada for the demonstration of an innovative tailings management system to produce dry stackable tailings in the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry. For the purposes of this call for expressions of interest, dry stackable tailings means a tailings that does not require fluid containment. Furthermore, the expectation is that the demonstration proposed would produce a material constituting the entire tailings stream that would be stackable. Proposals that only address the fluid fine tailings will be acceptable; those which only address the coarse tailings would not. Contact: Office of Energy Efficiency - ecoENERGY for Industry.
