Stephan Burckhardt

Burckhardt has served clients in Europe, Silicon Valley and Canada. He helped launch start-ups and supported major global, as well as market leading mid-size firms. He restructured and spun off five companies, and has handled small regional to large and complex global projects.

Burckhardt was a member of senior management at Landis & Gyr in energy management and building control (now Toshiba and Siemens) where he was responsible for marketing communications worldwide. He owned, ran and finally sold a large marketing agency in Switzerland and has been consulting in BC for the past seven years.

When smart metering was in its infancy in California, Burckhardt, helped launch some of its pioneering technology. He was involved in a large public affairs campaign for major urban waste disposal issues in Switzerland, which has some of the toughest environmental standards worldwide.

ckdt has created environmental and social reports for major industrial firms, and developed strategic communications for an industry-leading 3BL (triple-bottom line) project in Ghana.
