Envirochem Services was formed as a specialized consulting firm
in 1984. The firm provides integrated engineering and scientific
services for the safe management of toxic chemicals and also
provides specialized services in the following areas: Assessment:
State-of-the-art determination of environmental risks associated
with the presence of toxic chemicals. Control: Definition of
procedural and engineering controls for industrial activity
involving environmental risks. Communication: Presentation of
technical information regarding the handling of chemicals.
Envirochem has a deep-rooted commitment to the protection of
society and the environment from exposure to chemicals. The Company
is dedicated to providing services of the highest standards. Since
its inception, Envirochem has established and maintained a
reputation consistent with these goals.
Corporate Structure: Envirochem Services is a corporate
partnership with two principals; Mr. T.W. Finnbogason and Dr. D.E.
Konasewich. In 1988, the principals formed a separate corporation,
Envirochem Special Projects Inc., and all Envirochem projects are
now conducted under this corporate entity.
Envirochem Personnel: Envirochem personnel are scientists and
engineers at the Ph.D. level, and include expertise in: Chemical
engineering; environmental chemistry; environmental engineering;
hazardous waste treatment; process engineering; soil science.
Envirochem maintains an analytical laboratory to provide support
services for its field investigation.
Experience and Qualifications: Envirochem has extensive experience
in the safe management of chemicals and special wastes. Since its
inception, Envirochem has undertaken projects for both the public
and private sectors in the areas of: Contaminated site assessment;
dangerous goods transportation; development of codes of practice
for industries using chemicals; environmental audits; environmental
impact assessment; expert testimony on hazardous waste disposal
practices; hazardous waste disposal technology assessment;
industrial facility assessment; inventories of hazardous materials;
public education regarding the toxic effects of chemicals;
quantitative risk assessment; remediation programs; worker training
for chemical handling.
Envirochem has considerable international experience, including
projects in New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and the
United States.
