Frac Rite Environmental Ltd. is a Canadian service company that specializes in providing technically advanced and environmentally sustainable in situ remediation services to optimize the remediation at difficult, "problem" sites. Our focus is to provide sustainable, cost effective, natural remedies to site remediation challenges, whereby contaminants are converted to harmless end products.

Frac Rite has developed a process of remediating contaminated sites using hydraulic fracturing and injection technologies (the FRAC RITE ™ process) with non-intrusive geophysical mapping technology to clean up sites cost-effectively without the need for excavation. Fractures provide permeable pathways that expedite contaminant recovery using fewer extraction wells. Fractures are created by emplacing a viscous slurry mixture containing a sand proppant that holds the fracture open and thereby creating multiple, overlying "sheets" of permeable sand pathways. Frac Rite has further developed fracturing and injection technology to emplace various biological amendments to clean-up sites naturally (the BIO-FRAC™PROCESS), a unique form of "enhanced bioremediation". Biological treatment amendments, as well as surfactants, nutrient solutions, or chemical oxidants, can be simultaneously injected into fractures to effectively convert harmful contaminants into natural end products.
