Rescan Environmental Services Ltd. is a private, Canadian-owned,
environmental consulting firm offering a wide range of services to
the resource development industry. Now in its thirtieth year of
operation, Rescan has been active in over fifty countries on six
continents worldwide.
Rescan's goal is to provide our clients in the private and
public sectors with environmental solutions that enable them to
expand social and economic opportunities, while minimizing their
environmental footprint. To do this, Rescan has assembled a team of
dynamic and skilled professionals from many different fields. Our
multi-disciplinary team-which includes biologists, engineers,
social scientists, archaeologists, hydrologists, and many others-is
backed by a strong group of accountants, graphic designers, and
document specialists.
The heart of Rescan's business is the Social and Environmental
Assessment (SEA): an evaluation of the potential effects of a
project on the ecological and social environment of an area. Rescan
is currently responsible for assessments for resource developments
in British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and
Saskatchewan. Rescan is also involved in multiple international
projects, working to the standards of the World Bank and the
International Finance Corporation.
Rescan is proud to be a recognized leader in the field of
environmental management, as a recipient of a Canada Export Award
and three British Columbia Export Awards, and a member of the
British Columbia Export Hall of Fame. Rescan was also selected as
one of Canada's Top 100 Employers in 2011 and one of BC's Top
