The cement and concrete industries are significant contributors to the Canadian economy. Cement is currently produced in 16 plants across Canada, providing raw material for more than 1,100 other businesses manufacturing cement-based products. All of these businesses combined account for 22,000 jobs across the country and annual sales exceeding $4 billion.

The Canadian cement industry is a world leader in innovation, product manufacturing, environmental performance and research. We are committed to continuous improvement and implement strict control measures to ensure our products are of the highest quality.

Products & Technology: Concrete is the most commonly used construction material in the world. In fact, twice as much concrete is used than the total of all other building materials combined. It is durable, fire resistant, immune to rot and rust, and cost-efficient. Its stone-like properties have made concrete the foundation of all we have built for more than a century.

Through ongoing efforts with customers, partners and the scientific research community, the Cement Association of Canada is working to seek out new and innovative solutions
