Westport Innovations Inc. based in Vancouver, B.C. develops technology and products designed to reduce pollutant emissions from heavy duty diesel engines such as those used in buses, trucks, locomotives, ferries, off-road vehicles and stationary power generators.

Westport Innovations Inc. (TSE: WPT) is engaged in the research, development and marketing of high performance, low-emissions fuel engine fuel systems that use natural gas or propane and potentially other gaseous fuels such as hydrogen. Our strategy is to develop fuel systems for sale in new engines in cooperation with the world’s leading diesel engine original equipment manufacturers. So far we have established one commercial joint venture: with Cummins Inc. of Columbus, Indiana; and three cooperative fuel system development agreements: with Ford Motor Company of Dearborn, Michigan; Isuzu Motors Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan; and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG of Munich, Germany.
