BCEIA Announces Student Membership Awards Applications due October 1, 2012

The British Columbia Environment Industry Association (BCEIA) has announced its intention to provide one-year student membership awards and mentoring support to qualified undergraduate or graduate students interested in pursuing a career in the environment industry.

To apply, students must:

  • Provide a resume or curriculum vitae describing the current degree program, the expected date of completion, the candidate's academic or work experience, and interests in ornithology (electronic documents please).
  • Ask their academic advisor to provide a short note indicating support for the application, on institutional letterhead from the institution in which the student is currently enrolled (electronic documents please).

Membership awards will provide full membership in the BCEIA including a member profile page, specially discounted attendance to BCEIA member events,  online subscription to its weekly newsletter, plus all of the other benefits of membership.

Membership awards are not renewable, but recipients can continue to be BCEIA members at the reduced student rate of $25 per annum for four additional years (as long as they retain student status at undergraduate or graduate levels).

The BCEIA reserves the right to limit the number of grants provided during one academic year to five with a limit of one per academic institution. There will be one application period each year, with an October 1st deadline.

Materials should be emailed prior to October 1, 2012 to info@bceia.com .  Please use the subject heading "BCEIA Student Membership Award".
