Ministry of Forests, Land and Natural Resource Operations Announces New Opportunity Regarding Forest Carbon Offset Projects on Crown Land Request For Proposals for the role of a forest carbon projects announced
10 October 2012 - The Ministry of Forests,
Land and Natural Resource Operations (MFLNRO) is releasing a
Request For Proposals (RFP) for the role of a forest carbon
projects coordinating entity capable of implementing projects on
Crown land as soon as possible.
MFLNRO invites firms specializing in investment and
implementation of forest carbon projects, including environmental
restoration projects for increasing carbon sequestration, to submit
a proposal.
Forest ecosystem restoration projects can meet requirements for
generating offsets under the Emission Offsets Regulation and the
Protocol for the Creation of Forest Carbon Offsets in British
Columbia (FCOP).
