Canada’s ONLY tradeshow serving the waste, recycling and public works market will return to Vancouver on November 28 – 29, 2007. Sustainable Development Mission to Washington, D.C.

An invitation has been extended to BCEIA and companies in the environmental industry of B.C. to participate in a sustainable development mission to the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank being organized by the Canadian Private Sector Liaison Officer (PSLO) Network of the World Bank, which in British Columbia operates out of the regional office of International Trade Canada. The mission is scheduled for February 6-8, 2007. More information is available here

On January 24, 2007 Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) will open it's Call for Applications for its next funding round, seeking applications for technologies that provide clean water, clean soil, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. More

Ministry of Environment seeks public comment

The Land Remediation Section of the Ministry of Environment is seeking stakeholder comments on a number of draft documents pertaining to contaminated site assessment. The Ministry has also issued a Request for Qualifications to persons on the Roster of Approved Professionals (and their firms). This Request is expected to result in a list of qualified suppliers.
